Alright, here's my blog. I don't have much to talk about this time, but since I've now managed to get it all up and running I wanted to post something.
So, who am I, and what the heck am I doing? Well, I'm a software developer at CQL, Incorporated. As for what I'm doing, well, I read a lot of blogs about software development, and I really like the collaboration opportunities that they allow, so I figured I'd start my own. Of course, I don't expect to have a lot (or really any) readers, but "What the heck..." (that's the source of my blog's title by the way). It also gives me a place to record thoughts and ideas, and I'm certain that while writing out my thoughts and ideas I will gain a better understanding of them.
Alright, on to specifics. First, I'm going to start this thing with no definite posting schedule. I know that goes against some very good advice, but I'm still really new to this and so it will just be an "as I feel" type of thing. Later on maybe that will change, but for now I just want to take things slow.
Next, posting topics. Well, at CQL we are mostly a classic development shop, but I really believe that an agile methodology would work better. In some ways we are slowly evolving to be more agile, and I like that. I think many of my posts will probably be about that, because I need to think out how and why I (and hopefully CQL) can make our work better and easier.
